Karnataka Leads Charge As Semi-Final Lineups Finalised In 51st Junior Waterpolo Championship 2025

The 51st Junior Waterpolo Championship 2025 concluded its group stages with Karnataka, Bengal, Kerala, and Maharashtra qualifying for the semi-finals in both Boys and Girls categories. Key performances highlighted the matches.

The 51st Junior Waterpolo Championship 2025 saw Karnataka, Bengal, Kerala, and Maharashtra secure spots in the Boys' semi-finals. Meanwhile, Karnataka, Odisha, Kerala, and Maharashtra advanced in the Girls' category. The event took place at the Basavangudi Aquatic Centre on 6th August 2025.

Karnataka's Boys' team triumphed over Odisha with a score of 15-5. Chinmay Pai led with seven goals, while Surya Chandra added three. Pavan Mohan and Jayanth L Reddy each scored twice, and Nihar Rajesh contributed one goal. For Odisha, Pradip Padiami netted three goals and Rohit Bhatra scored two.

Karnataka Advances in Junior Waterpolo Championship

Maharashtra dominated Delhi with a 17-1 victory. Manthan Lomharsh Shivanikar, Samarth Vishal Mohature, Swayam Pardeshi, and Samrat Ravindra Bodke each scored three goals. Mayuresh Suresh Bugade, Harsh Vilas Daingade, Swarnim Milind Chepe, Shaurya Amit Gupta, and Mohit Bhate added one goal each. Rishi Thakur scored Delhi's only goal.

Bengal secured a win against Assam with a score of 14-1. Sanjib Sardar was the top scorer for Bengal with three goals. Sahil Sheikh, Sabyasachi Show, and Retobrata Das each scored twice. Arnab Shaw, Sourasish Karmakar, Tushar Haldar, Rajesh Naskar, and Arijit Biswas also contributed one goal each. Kuldeep Saikia scored Assam's lone goal.

Kerala defeated Telangana 8-2 in another Boys' match. Dhipin V led Kerala with three goals while Gokul Krishna B., Navaneeth S., Sudheesh R., Vishnu K., and Rajdeep Datta each added one goal. Mohammad Abdur Rahmaan Siddique scored Telangana's only goal.

In the Girls' category, Tamil Nadu overcame Assam with a score of 9-4. Pavithrasree S.D was the standout player for Tamil Nadu with four goals. Alfiyah Khan Abikhan followed closely with three goals while B. Karishma and Kaviya Priya added one each. Ansurima Gogoi scored three times for Assam; Debanshi Hazarika netted once.

Kerala's Girls' team achieved a decisive victory over Bengal by 15-2. Safwa Sakeer and Abhinanda V both scored four goals for Kerala. Ardra S added three more while Anjali S Sathya, Nivya M., Ruddra M.R., and Ebba Adila S each contributed one goal. Anwesha Halder was Bengal's sole scorer with two goals.

Karnataka narrowly defeated Maharashtra 7-6 in another Girls' match-up. Ishani Kiran and Roshini S both netted two goals for Karnataka; Tanvi Ravi also scored twice while Nithya C added another goal to their tally. For Maharashtra Rushada Patil managed two goals; Nirmiti Wankhade Anjali Raut Bhumika Giri Reet Kulkarni all contributed one goal apiece.

The semi-final line-ups are now set as teams prepare to compete for championship glory in this prestigious tournament.
