HPCL to host veterans tournament

Kochi, Jan 19 (UNI) Hindustan Petroleum Limited (HPCL) under the aegis of Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) will host the 12th PSPB Inter-Unit Veterans cricket torunament here from tomorrow.

Talking to reporters here, HPCL Senior Manager Elias Ahamed said seven teams from the member companies of PSPB will participate in the four-day tournament.

He said players above 45 years would be eligible to play in the tournament.

Tournament Director Dandapani said the teams would play matches of 20 overs a side basis. However, the final will be a 25 overs a side affair.

Some former Ranji and Duleep players would also feature in the teams which include HPCL, ONGC, BPCL IOCL, IBP, GAIL and EIL.
