Humpy to participate in two international tournaments

Vijayawada, Jun 11 (UNI) Women Grandmaster Koneru Humpy will participate in two international open tournaments coming up in this month and July, Humpy's father and coach Koneru Ashok said today.

Talking to UNI here, Mr Ashok said Humpy, currently ranked no 2 in the world, would participate in HSG Open from June 20 to 28 at Hilversum in Netherlands and Kaupthing Open from July 7 to 14 at Differdange in Luxembourg.

He said around 80 players from world over would vie for honours in the HSG Open and Humpy would enter the tourney as the third seed player.
