Hyderabad Heroes ready to face Badshas' in second semifinal

Ahmedabad, Nov 14 (UNI) Defending Champion Hyderabad Heroes's captain Chris Harris asserted that his boys are tightening their belts for tomorrow's second final to keep their hopes alive in the ICL Championship.

Talking to mediapersons here today, Harris said, '' Yesterday's first final was lost due to poor bowling and poor fielding as 170 runs score was a good enough total to defend in 20 overs by any standard.'' ''However, the team could have added some more runs in last 2-3 over, if our batsmen had hit hard enough like rival team did,'' he added.

When asked, Harris denied that the losing of toss played a vital role in the first final as his boys had made good batting performance to score a respectable and defendable total of 170 runs in 20 overs.

In reply to another query, the Hyderabad Heroes's captain refulted that his side was feeling pressure of defending the title as every season is a new season and every match is a new match.

While, Lahore Badhshahs' captain Inzamam-ul-Haq praising his boys, said, '' They performed indeed well in all threee departments -batting, fielding and bowling to win the first final to give vital 1-0 lead,'' Inzamam, in a admitting tone, said, ''Yes, drawing first blood has given vital psychological advantage to the team and we would definitely like to finish with 2-0 to emerger championship in current season of the ICL.'' He also defended the rash hittings and getting out by his upper order batsmen like Imran Nazir, Naved-ul-Hasan, Mohammad Yousuf and himself (Inzamam) by saying that in 20 overs game his side wanted to take advantage of hard hittings in the intial overs when fielding was restricted within the circle as it reduces the asking rates which was very high with target of 171 runs to win in 20 overs.
