Hyderabad Kerala match ends in tie

Hyderabad, Feb 14 (UNI) The fourth round South Zone Cricket Tournament match between Hyderabad and Kerala ended in a tie here today.

Hyderabad put into bat, scored 225 for six in 50 overs. P Shashank Nag 50, Aniruth Singh 35, A T Rayudu 40 and N Arjun Yadav 30 were the chief scorers. For Kerala Chandran, Anil Kumar, Jagadeesh and Aneesh were the pick of bowlers.

Replying Kerala scored 225 for nine in 50 overs. Jagadeesh 95 n o, Manikandan 29 and Anil kumar 17 were the chief scorers. For Hyderabad Alfred (three for 30), P Indra Shekar Reddy (two for 40) and Pragyan and Amol Shinde with one wicket each, were the pick of bowlers.

In another league match, Andhra Pradesh lost to Karnataka while Tamil Nadu beat Goa, despite Goa's Swapnil Asnodkar huge hit of 104, including 11 fours.

Karnataka put into bat, scored 244 for eight in 50 overs while Rowland scored 97 and Deepak Chougle 83. For Andhra Pradesh Shadeep (three for 33) and Venugopala Rao (three for 39) were the pick of bowlers.

In reply Andhra Pradesh were all out for 160 in 41.3 overs.

Y Venugopal Rao 45, A G Pradeep 26, J T Yadav 19, A S K Verma 18, V Sandeep 14 and Kalyan Krishna 12 were the other chief scorers.

Vinay Kumar (two for 23), Dhanunjaya (two for 49), Sunil Joshi (three for 38) and Raghu (three for 34) were the pick of Karnataka bowlers.

Karnataka gained five points including bonus points and Andhra minus one point.

In another match, Tamil Nadu put into bat scored 264 for nine in 50 overs. M Vijay 98, R Prasanna 30, K Sree Vasudeva Dass 24, Badani 21 and R Satish 23 were the chief scorers.

For Goa Shadab Jakati (two for 48), Robin Disouza (one for 68), Ryan (one for 54), Saurav (one for 50) were the wicket takers.

In reply, Goa were all out for 250 in 49.1 overs. Swapoil 104, and Robit 74 were the main scorers. For Tamil Nadu Tamil Kumaran (five for 37), Hemang Badani (one for 39) were the pick of bowlers.

Tamil Nadu gained four points while Goa lost without a point.
