Ind-Pak teams arrive amid tight security cover

Kolkata, Nov 27 (UNI) The Indian and Pakistani teams today landed at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International airport here and were whisked away in two buses to the hotel.

Cricket-enthusiasts and mediapersons, who had gathered at the airport, could hardly catch a glimpse of the teams as the two buses moved to the VIP gate and were escorted with armed convoys to a five-star hotel in the southern part of the city.

Local Manager of the Pakistan team Sultan Ahmed told UNI, ''Both the teams have arrived and are on their way to the team hotel.'' The Pakistan team is in Kolkata to play the second test of the three-match test series, commencing at the Eden Gardens from November 30.

The unprecedented security arrangements have been made after an e-mail, received at a private TV channel office, threatening to trigger blasts at several places, including Kolkata, during the ongoing series.
