A strong 11-member team from team India, consisting of six male and five female boxers, is preparing to compete in the 21st Mustafa Hajrulahovic Memorial tournament in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Leading the female contingent from India is the 2019 World Championships silver medal winner, Manju Rani in the 50kg category, alongside the Youth World Champions Jyoti (54kg) and Shashi Chopra (60kg). Vinakshi (57kg) and Jigyasa Rajput (75kg) are the additional female pugilists keen to leave a lasting impression at this respected event.

The baton of spearheading the men's team has been shouldered by Manish Kaushik (63.5kg), who is a 2019 World Championships bronze medal winner, and Akash Kumar (57kg), who won a bronze medal at the 2021 World Championship.
Satish Kumar, a seasoned boxer, and Tokyo Olympiad, will be returning to the action in the 92+kg category after a considerable hiatus. National Champion Naveen Kumar will be carrying the hopes of the nation in the 92kg category.
Upcoming boxers Barun Singh (51kg) and Nikhil Dubey (71kg) will also get a chance to exhibit their skills and hopefully bring laurels to the country.
The tournament commences on the 6th of September and will run through to the 9th of September.
