India finish runners up in Asian Youth Volleyball Championship
Kuala Lumpur, May 28 (UNI) India finished a creditable runners-up as they lost to defending champions Iran 0-3 in the final of the sixth Asian Youth Boys' (U-19) Volleyball Championship here.
The Iranians proved too strong for India to walk away with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-11 victory in the biennial competition.
India, Iran and China, who upset South Korea 3-0 for the third place, will represent Asia in the the World Championship in Mexico in August.
Hosts Malaysia finished eighth going down 1-3 to Australia in the seventh-eighth classification match.
