India, Korea to fight for top honours tomorrow

Hyderabad, Jul 17(UNI) Holders India will face a stern test when they take on South Korea in the summit clash of the 6th Asia Junior Men Hockey Championships here tomorrow.

India, who won the coveted trophy in the fifth edition at Karachi four years ago, is all determined to keep its title in front of the home crowd. They have kept a clean slate so far, winning all their matches with comfortable margins. The victory over arch-rivals Pakistan in the semi-fianal yesterday have boosted their confidence.

Young drag flicker Diwakar Ram, who scored four goals to help India win silver in the Azlan Shah Cup, will play a pivotal role.

He is in good form in this tournment, scoring 9 goals so far.

The Koreans, who were the bronze medallists in the last edition, registered a convincing victory over Japan in the last four stage and may prove to be tough opponents in the final.

The final will take place at 5.30 p.m tomorrow.
