India lead 1-0 against Pakistan at half-time

Hyderabad, July 16 (UNI) Defending champion India, playing a fast paced game, led former champion Pakistan 1-0 at the all-important semi-finals of the Junior Asian Cup Hockey Championship at the Gatchibowli statium here today.

Gurvinder Singh Chandi scored with a reverse hit against the run of play in the 15th minute to give India the lead.

The Indian defenders worked hard to keep Pakistan's counter attack at bay and maintain the lead till half-time.
