India's Medal Tally at ISSF World Cup 2025 After Rudrankksh-Arya Win Silver in 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Event

India's medal tally at ISSF World Cup 2025 swelled slightly on Wednesday (April 9) after Rudrankshh Patil and Arya Borse added a silver in 10m Air Rifle mixed team event in Buenos Aires.

After qualifying for the Gold Medal Match with a combined score of 630.5, Arya and Rudrankksh settled for silver as they came up short against the Chinese team of Wang Zifei and Song Buhan, who emerged champions with a scoreline of 17-9.

This was Rudrankshh's second medal at the ongoing event in Buenos Aires, having already added a gold in the individual men's event over the weekend. The former world champion clinched the yellow metal in a close contest with 252.9 points.

The other Indian team in the 10m air rifle mixed competition, Narmada Nithin Raju and Arjun Babuta finished fourth with an aggregate score of 629.6 in the qualification round, but the duo lost the bronze match. Argentina's Fernanda Russo and Marcelo Gutierrez won the copper metal with a 17-13 margin.

Earlier on Tuesday (April 8), India added two gold medals through Vijayveer Sidhu and Suruchi Inder Singh. Both the Indian shooters won the medal in pistol events. While Vijayveer won gold in men's 25m rapid-fire pistol event, Suruchi finished top of the podium in women's 10m air pistol event.

Meanwhile, Sift Kaur Samra became the first gold medalist at the event, shooting for the top spot in the women's 50m rifle three positions event. India's double Paris Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker drew a blank in the women's 25m pistol event, but Esha Singh added a silver in the event for the country.

Chain Singh won the first medal for India in the Buenos Aires event on the second day of the competition. As it stands, India has seven medals - 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze, and trail China in the overall standings due to the total medal count.
