India's Medal Tally at Paris Paralympics 2024 on Day 5, September 2: List of Indian Medal Winners After Nitesh Kumar & Sumit Antil's Gold Medals
On September 2, 2024, India won six more medals at the Paris Paralympics 2024 thus taking their overall tally to 14. After Yogesh Kathuniya and Nitesh Kumar bagged silver and gold in the discus throw and badminton, Sumit Antil clinched his second straight yellow metal in the men's javelin throw to hand India its third gold medal.
Kathuniya won a silver medal in the Men's Discus Throw F56 event with the best throw of 42.22m and Nitesh Kumar won Gold in the Men's Singles SL3 Final on Monday (September 2). Antil won gold in the Men's Javelin Throw - F64 Final.
It was an equally fruitful day for the Indian Para shuttlers in Paris 2024 as four athletes clinched medals. Archers Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar bagged a bronze medal in mixed team compound archery to make the day even more delightful for the Indian fans. With 14 medals, including three gold, India has jumped to 15th spot on medal tally.
