Manchester, December 12: India's Saurav Ghosal stormed into the pre-quarterfinal stage of the PSA World Championships with a 11-4, 11-3, 11-4 second-round win against England's Ben Coleman.
However, it was heartbreak for Indian women as both Dipika Pallikal Karthik and Joshna Chinappa were knocked out in the first round.
The world No.16 who recently won the JSW Indian Squash Circuit CCI International title, was in dominant form as he dispatched world No.53 Coleman in just 45 minutes at the Manchester Squasch Centre.
For a place in the last eight, the 31-year-old will face defending champion Karim Abdel Gawad of Egypt on Wednesday (December 13).
"I think overall I did what I wanted to do on court in terms of executing," said Ghosal about the match.

"It's the first time I have played Ben so I just wanted to impose my game and play how I wanted to from the beginning and I think for the majority of the match I was able to do that and handled the match well.
"It's unfortunate that Dipika and Joshna lost today but they all tried their best and that's what I'm doing. I think this has been the biggest contingent of Indians at a World Championships ever and we had three guys in the main draw and I don't think that has happened before so it's good omens for Indian squash and hopefully in this tournament I can go further."
Dipika was involved in a gruelling five-match encounter with USA's Olivia Blatchford that went right to the wire as she fought back from 1-2 down, but was unable to close out the victory, losing 7-11, 11-5, 9-11, 14-12, 8-11.
Chinappa lost to Egypt's Salma Hany Ibrahim 9-11, 13-11, 5-11, 9-11.
