This win not only earned India a Gold medal but also maintained the country's dominance in the SL3 class, continuing a winning streak from the last Paralympics. In athletics, Sumit Antil defended his Paralympic title in the men's javelin throw F64 category with a record-breaking performance.

Antil achieved a staggering throw of 70.59 meters, setting a new Paralympic record three times during the event. With this victory, Antil became the second Indian athlete to defend a Paralympic gold medal, following in the footsteps of para shooter Avani Lekhara.

Yogesh Kathuniya added to India's medal tally by clinching his second successive Silver medal in the men's discus throw F56 category, with a season-best throw of 42.22 meters. Kathuniya's consistency in the field has made him one of India's most reliable Paralympic athletes.

The day also saw impressive performances in badminton. Thulasimathi Murugesan secured a Silver medal in the women's singles SU5 category after a hard-fought battle against China's Yang Qiu Xia.

Manisha Ramadass made history by becoming the first Indian woman to win a medal in para badminton at the Paralympics, securing a Bronze in the women's singles SU5 class. Additionally, Nithya Sre earned her first-ever Paralympic medal, winning Bronze in the women's singles SH6 class.

In archery, India's Rakesh Kumar and Sheetal Devi clinched a Bronze in the Mixed Team Compound event, edging out Italy 156-155. Notably, Sheetal, at just 17 years old, became the youngest Indian to win a Paralympic medal, surpassing a record set at the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Suhas Yathiraj added another Silver to India's tally in the men's singles SL4 badminton category, marking his second consecutive Paralympic medal after Tokyo 2020.

With these historic performances, India continues to make significant strides on the global Paralympic stage, inspiring millions and setting new benchmarks for future athletes.
