India's impressive run at the Asian U-15 & U-17 Boxing Championships continued on Day 9, with seven young pugilists - six of them women - punching their way into the U-17 finals. With these latest victories, India now boasts a total of 21 finalists across both U-15 and U-17 categories.
The U-17 women's contingent, in particular, showcased their prowess with commanding performances. Ahaana Sharma (50kg) led the charge, delivering a spectacular first-round knockout against Kyrgyzstan's Akmaral Amantaieva.

Khushi Chand (44-46kg) secured a narrow 3-2 win over Ukraine's Oleksandra Cherevata, while Jannat (54kg), Simranjeet Kaur (60kg), Harsika (63kg), and Anshika (80+kg) all clinched dominant victories to advance to their respective gold medal bouts.
In the men's U-17 division, Devansh (80kg) stood out, defeating Vietnam's Nguyen Trong Tien with a 4-1 decision to book his spot in the final.
