Bangalore, July 14: Even as the rest of the world continues to celebrate Germany's win in the FIFA World Cup, we have our very own reason to celebrate. So what if India didn't qualify for the FIFA World Cup, the Indian basketball team created history after they beat the mighty China 65-58 in Group A game of the FIBA Asia Cup.

India took over the game in the first half itself and Pratham Singh and Amjyot Singh shared the title for having scored 13 points each.

The Indian team was elated after the win with the players unable to conceal their excitement.

The players said that they deserved to win as they had worked hard for it.

The Chinese coach was all praises for the Indian team saying that 'the team is young. Such results were expected.'
