New Delhi, Aug 25: After making a mark at the amateur level, Indian boxing is set to make its presence felt in the professional circuit as well with Pradeep Singh taking on Zhang Yong of China for the WBC Asia Middleweight title tomorrow in Melbourne.

The fight titled the ''Brute Force 16 Dragon Challenge'' will take place at the Coburg Town Hall in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Pradeep, better known in professional boxing circles as "Indian Warrior", is currently based in Australia.

"Ranked among the best 15 middleweight boxers in the world, he has already been the Pan Asian Boxing Association and Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) Middleweight champion and has an incredible fight record of 18 wins with 8 knockouts and a solitary loss," the boxer's management firm Infinity Optimal Solution said in a release.

"I will be fighting Zhang Yong for the first time. I have heard he is extremely fit, but I know that my boxing skills are better than his and that I punch harder and faster than him. I am pretty confident that with my skill, power and speed I will do the country proud by winning this title," Pradeep said.

Born in Sisai in the state of Haryana, Pradeep is son of a former National Middleweight wrestling Champion and brother to a former National Middleweight Amateur boxing Champion.

Picked from a bunch of talented boxers by a visiting Australian scout, Pradeep was then taken to Australia, where he now resides. He was voted "Best Boxer 2006" at the Victorian Trainers League Professional Boxing Awards.
