Indian Express team wins C Mahendra Cup

Mumbai, Apr 22 (UNI) The Indian Express team today won the C Mahendra Cup soft ball cricket tournament, defeating Mid-Day team at the Parsi Gymkhana here.

The CNBC team stood second and was followed by Mid-Day in the third position.

As many as 48 teams from different media groups competed for the Cup, that hosted the tournament from March 31. The teams were divided into three groups, consisting of 16 teams each and played an eight over match.

Mid day, CNBC and the Indian Express teams reached the finals, where Indian Express and CNBC teams defeated Mid-Day teams in two separate matches.
