Indian judo players impress at 4th Children of Asia Games

Yakutsk, Russia, Jul 11 (UNI) Pooja Dhanda clinched gold in the girls 57 kg category as Indian judo players put up an impressive performance winning 1 Gold, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze medals in the fourth Children of Asia Games here.

Pooja also won gold in the second Asian Youth Judo Championships 2008, held in Yemen, just before the Games.

Sandhya Devi and Ichal Devi grabbed silver in the girls 48 Kg and 63 kg respectively.

In the boys category, Romen Singh (60 Kg) and Jawswinder Singh (55Kg) won silver medals.

The bronze went to Neha Thakur in the girls 40 Kg category.
