Indian mens' swimming relay team reaches CWG final

New Delhi, Oct 4: India had a ravishing start at CWG 2010 as the four member India's swimming team led by Virdhawal Khade reached the final at Mens' 4x100m Freestyle relay on Monday, Oct 4.

Aaron Dsouza, Arjun Jayaprakash and Anshul Kothari are the other three team members.

The India quartet clocked 3:28.06 to make a cut for the final after they finished sixth in their event at SPM Aquatics Complex.

In mens' 50m backstroke, Badrinath Melkote clocked 27.52 to qualify for the semifinals, while Subha Chittaranjan clocked 29.96 to enter the last four stage in women's 50m butterfly.

However, none of the Indian swimmers in other categories like womens' 200m freestyle, mens' 400m freestyle, womens' 200m individual medley, mens' 200m butterfly, womens' 50m breaststroke, could qualify in the events.
