Indian men team win $ 40,000 cash purse for Champion Team title

New Delhi, Feb 17 (UNI) India's Kennedy Chima Ramu finished men's full marathon on 11th place in the final leg of Standard Chartered Greatest Race on Earth challenge at Hong Kong Marathon with a timing of 2:30.14 sec.

According to information received here today, Ramu's effort kept India on top in the South Asia and Middle east challenge for the fourth year in row in the GROE series.

Indian men team win 40,000 dollar cash purse for securing Champion Team title.

In the women's section, Rina Das finished on 15th place (31st overall) in the marathon with a timing of 3 hours 16.48sec.

Indian women team receives 20,000 dollar prize money for securing second place in the regional challenge.
