Indian Powerlifters Win 18 Golds At International Powerlifting Championship In Dubai

At the International Powerlifting Championship in Dubai, the Indian team, sponsored by Electrotherm India, won 18 gold medals, excelling against global competitors. Athletes from seven states contributed to this remarkable achievement, highlighting India's strength in powerlifting.

The Indian Powerlifting team recently triumphed at the International Powerlifting Championship in Dubai, securing numerous gold medals. Sponsored by Electrotherm India, the team clinched 18 gold medals across various categories, including bench press, squats, deadlift, and strict curl.

Competing against teams from the US, Iran, Australia, UAE, Kazakhstan, and Russia, the Indian athletes demonstrated exceptional strength and precision. The 28-member team hailed from seven states: Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh (UP), Haryana, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh (MP).

Outstanding Performances in Bench Press and Deadlift

Among the standout performers were 14 players who won gold in both bench press and deadlift events. Notable winners included Vriti Patel, Veer Singh, Naveen Singh Dahiya, Lokesh Jaideep, Durgesh Singh, Dhiraj Kumar, Furkan Babi (who also won in strict curl), Divy Patel, Jinal Chaudhry, Vishnu Chaudhry (also a strict curl winner), Sarabjeet Kaur, and Dhruvi Chaudhry.

Mr. Suraj Bhandari of Electrotherm India expressed immense pride in the team's achievements. "We are immensely proud to have supported these incredible athletes. Leadership and Dedication

Krupal Suthar, General Secretary of the Indian Powerlifting Federation's West Zone and one of the gold medalists himself praised the team's dedication. "Our athletes have shown exceptional determination and skill at the international tournament. This achievement is the result of their years of hard work. We are thankful to Electrotherm India for its support and encouragement and look forward to continued success and collaboration in future events," he stated.

In a remarkable feat of leadership and skill, Divyang Pujara led his team to win seven gold medals. As General Secretary of the Gujarat unit of the Indian Powerlifting Federation, his guidance was instrumental in their success.
