Indian Rlys, Delhi, TN enter quarters

Puducherry, Dec 24 (UNI) Defending Champions Indian Railways women, Runners up Delhi along with Tamil Nadu,Chhattisgarh,Punjab,Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka entered the quarterfinals of the 58th Senior National Basketball Championships here.

In the men's section, Defending Champions Services, Indian Railways, Tamil Nadu and Punjab qualified for the last eight.

In the pre-quareterfinals, Kerala women beat UP 69-63 while Karnataka outplayed Madhya Pradesh 60-46.

In the men's pre-quarterfinals, Andhra Pradesh trounced Delhi 87-51 and UP crushed MP 90-68. Karnataka Men prevailed over Assam 86-51 in a super league match today.

Results-Men Andhra Pradesh 87 (Nagaraj 16) bt Delhi 51 (Sivakumar 16).

UP 90 (Amitesh Singh and Upendrakumar 16 each) beat MP 68 (Hawa Singh 25).

Men's Super League-Karnataka 86 bt Assam 51.

Women's Pre-quarterfinals Kerala 69 (Anjana 24) bt UP 63(Renu Mourya 21).

Karnataka 60 (Sornam 15) bt Madhya Pradesh 46 (Ritu 22).
