Indian skeet shooters diappoint at the Lonato World Cup

New Delhi, Jun 15 (UNI) Indians had a disappointing outing at the men's skeet shooting event of the ISSF World Cup at Lonato, Italy, with Arozepal Sandhu, Mairaj Khan and Naveen Jindal all failing to qualify for the final round.

Arozepal was the best among the Indians as he secured 85th position with a score of 113 (24+20+24+23+22).

Mairaj Khan shot a score of 104 (21+21+24+18+20) to finish 121st, while Naveen Jindal shot 98 (20+20+18+19+21) to finish 130th in the field of 135 shooters, according to information received here today.

The gold in the event was won by Hancock Vincent of USA with a new world record score of 150 (125+25), silver was won by Achilleos George of Cyprus with a score of 149+24 (124+25) while Jensen Harald of Norway bagged the bronze with a score of 149 (124+25).
