Lalthazuala, born in Mizoram and based in Guwahati, began his MMA journey back in 2021 and has since built a flawless 8-0 pro record with five finishes. Representing Dojang MMA, the southpaw made an unforgettable ONE Championship debut, dispatching his opponent in a stunning 17 seconds.

"This contract is what I have been hoping for my whole life. So this contract is really precious to me, and I'm really grateful. I will do my best and work harder," Lalthazuala said.

"It was beyond my imagination, so it still feels like a dream. When they heard about the contract, my parents were crying out of happiness, and all the neighbors and family were really happy for me," he said.

"I was thrilled about it, and there's nothing much that's changed around me. I haven't bought anything yet. I'm saving it. My family and friends gathered to celebrate, but there's nothing special about it, just a family celebration," Lalthazuala said.
