Inzamam hits hurricane unbeaten 42

Panchkula, Dec 1 (UNI) A breezy unbeaten 42 by former Pakistan skipper Inzamam ul Haq was the highlight of the Hyderabad' Heroes' total of 121 for 6 against Mumbai Champions in the third match of the 4 million dollar Indian Cricket League Twenty20 Championship being played at the floodlit Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector 3 here today.

The burly Pakistan batsman Inzamam (42) and New Zealander Chris Harris (13) realised 26 runs for the sixth wicket partnership.

Inzaman's hurricane knock was studded with two sixes and three fours in just 28 deliveries.

Inzamam effortlessly lofted Mervyn Dhillon of West Indies over square in third delivery of the 13th over. He was again in a punishing mood as he lifted Avinash Yadav (3 for 22) out of the ground with a straight six.

Opener Anirudh Singh was the second highest scorer for Hyderabad Heores. Nicky Boje and Chris Harris contributed 13 runs each. Ambati Rayudu made 13.

Mumbai Heroes wicketkeeper Subhojit Paul had a field day. He took one catch and fashioned three stumpings to his credit. An alert Paul caught Anirudh of the bowling of Rakesh Patel (1 for 23). Later, he stumped Nicky Boje, Rayudu and Abdul Razzaq.

Avinash Yadav was the most successful bowler as he took three wickets for 22 runs.
