IOC lifts team title spearheaded by Bopanna

Chennai, Mar 21 (UNI) Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) won the team event title defeating ONGC ''A'' 2-0 in the final of the 26th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Inter-Unit Tennis championship here today.

In the finals, Davis cupper Rohan Bopanna led the charge with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Karan Rastogi. Sanam Singh pressed home the advantage winning the second singles after surviving some tense moments.

Sanam dropped the first set 3-6, but recovered to find his rhythm in the next two to post a 6-4, 6-2 win to seal the fate of ONGC.
