Iraklis climb off bottom of Greek Super League

ATHENS, Oct 27 (Reuters) Iraklis climbed off the bottom of the Greek Super League after a Nikos Nikolopoulos goal gave them a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Levadiakos on Saturday.

Nikolopoulos struck in the 28th minute to earn the Thessaloniki club their first win of the season, which lifted them out of the bottom three for the first time.

Iraklis jumped to 10th spot with six points from six games while Levadiakos are third from bottom with four.

Aris missed the chance to go second when they were held to a 0-0 draw at Asteras Tripolis in TOday's other game.

Aris now have 10 points, level with Atromitos who visit Panathinaikos tomorrow, and five points behind leaders AEK Athens who face an awkward game at Xanthi.
