Alexander Isak has been honoured as the Premier League's Player of the Month for December. The Newcastle United striker showcased remarkable form, netting eight goals and assisting twice in six matches. He scored in each game, including a hat-trick against Ipswich Town and goals against Liverpool, Brentford, Leicester, Aston Villa, and Manchester United.

Isak's achievement marks him as the fourth Swedish player to receive this accolade. He follows in the footsteps of Freddie Ljungberg (April 2002), Johan Elmander (November 2010), and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (December 2016). The 25-year-old reached his 50th goal for Newcastle during their EFL Cup victory over Arsenal, achieving this milestone in just 89 appearances.

This feat makes Isak the third-fastest player to score 50 goals for Newcastle in the Premier League era. Only Andrew Cole (50 matches) and Les Ferdinand (84 matches) achieved it quicker. His consistent performance has been pivotal for Newcastle's success this season.

In managerial news, Nuno Espirito Santo of Nottingham Forest was named Manager of the Month. This is his second win in three months after leading Forest to third place with six consecutive victories. This award is his sixth overall, equalling Bobby Robson and Sam Allardyce's records.
