Three-weight ONE MMA World Champion Anatoly Malykhin set himself apart from the pack at ONE 166: Qatar when he became the first man in mixed martial arts to hold three World Titles simultaneously - and UFC Lightweight World Champion Islam Makhachev recently endorsed his historic accomplishment.
Malykhin smashed Reinier de Ridder in the evening's main event last Friday, 1 March. "Sladkiy" stopped the Dutchman in the third frame to add the ONE Middleweight MMA World Title to his light heavyweight and heavyweight belts.

Since then, the world has been talking about Malykhin's power. And that's when the UFC's #1 pound-for-pound best Makhachev took to Instagram to share his thoughts on Malykhin's level. And by his own words, Makhachev believes nobody comes close to his fellow compatriot.
"The most dangerous guy in the planet," Makhachev posted on his Instagram story.

Having conquered ONE Championship's middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight MMA realms, Malykhin has now entered uncharted territory in the sport. And the way in which he's done so has been terrifying.
Across 14 professional outings, Malykhin has racked up 10 knockouts and 4 submission wins. Malykhin entered ONE Championship in 2021. Since then, he has won all six outings inside the distance with his last three bouts seeing him capture all three World Titles.
On top of Makhachev's endorsement, ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong has also hailed Malykhin as the best fighter in the world. Speaking at ONE 166's post-fight press conference, Sityodtong said:
"He is the baddest man in the world. Tell me one heavyweight that's 14-0 with a 100 percent finishing rate [and a] Russian national team wrestler. That's the elite of the elite. [He has] one-punch KO power. He will destroy any heavyweight on the planet.
"I'm speaking as a lifelong martial artist, who's done almost 40 years of Muay Thai and 14 years of jiu-jitsu. I'm not like some businessman talking. I'm talking from a martial artist's perspective. He is the best heavyweight on the planet."
