India's Divyansh Singh Panwar bagged a record-breaking gold medal at the on-going International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun stage in Cairo, Egypt on Sunday (January 28).
Panwar set a new finals world record in the men's 10m air rifle, picking up India's second gold of ISSF World Cup 2024 in Cairo leg, in the process. This was also India's fifth medal at the event.

The 21-year-old shot 253.7 at the Egypt International Olympic City Shooting Range, eclipsing Chinese Sheng Lihao's 253.3, set at the Asian Games in Hangzhou last year.
Divyansh topped qualification with a world-class 632.4 before bossing the 24-shot final with sensational precision shooting, leaving silver-winning Italian Dani Sollazo 1.9 points behind. Serbia's Lazar Kovacevic settled for bronze.
The Indian shooting team continued their dominance on Sunday (January 28), when Sonam Uttam Maskar, competing in her first ISSF World Cup, bagged silver in the women's 10m air rifle competition.
Sonam shot 252.1 in the eight-woman final, finishing 0.9 behind Germany's Anna Janssen. Poland's Aneta Stankiewicz won bronze. Two Indians, Sonam and Nancy had made the final after shooting scores of 632.7 and 633.1 in the 60-shot qualification round.
India is now firmly on the top of the season opening World Cup stage with two golds and three silver medals in their kitty after three days of competition.
Earlier on Saturday (January 27), Sonam had bagged the silver medal in the 10m air rifle mixed team event, shooting alongside Arjun Babuta. The Indian duo finished runner up in the final against Great Britain pair Dean Bale and Seonaid McIntosh.
Meanwhile, Rhythm Sangwan and Ujjawal Malik pair won the gold medal in 10m air pistol mixed team event, beating Armenian duo of Elmira Karapetyan and Benik Khlghatyan.
Anuradha Devi, on the other hand, won the other silver medal in the 10m women's air pistol event on Friday (January 26). She finished runner up to Anna Korakaki of Greece. India will look to finish on top of the table with several more shooters left to compete in Cairo event.
