J K cop wins silver in Asian Wushu Championship

Jammu, May 4 (UNI) Inspector Kuldeep Handoo of the Jammu and Kashmir police claimed the silver medal in the third South Asian Wushu Championship at Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Handoo clinched the silver medal in the 85-90 kg weight category as India won an overall trophy while Nepal and Sri Lanka took the runners-up and second runners-up trophies respectively.

Handoo has won his third consecutive international medal and he will also accompany the Indian wushu team as coach for the Grand Polaska championship to be held at Warsaw, Poland from May 14-19.

''I am sweating hard for my next championships and my target will be gold medal at international level,'' Handoo told UNI.
