Jaitley refuses to accept manhandling reports in DDCA meeting

By Super Admin

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): The Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) President Arun Jaitley has responded strongly to the blame put up by former cricketer Kirti Azad that he was manhandled in the DDCA meeting that was called to discuss Sunday's one-day international fiasco.

Jaitley said, "No event like the one described by Azad took place in the DDCA meeting."

Azad had earlier claimed that he was allegedly attacked for asking questions related to the issue.

Azad, who is also a member of the DDCA, said, "People were manhandled and I was allegedly attacked inside the meeting."

"People have a full right to raise questions related to Sunday's fiasco," he added.

Former cricketer Chetan Chauan said, "Azad is lying and no event like this occurred in the DDCA meet."

Azad had said members of the DDCA are not professional and are divided into two proxy groups.

On Sunday, the fifth One-Day International (ODI) between India and Sri Lanka was called off at the Ferozshah Kotla Stadium in Delhi due to the poor pitch conditions. (ANI)
