British-Canadian striker Jake Peacock talks about his upcoming challenge against experienced Thai fighter Suakim Sor Jor Tongprajin and the motivation that drives him as he prepares for a bantamweight Muay Thai bout at ONE 173 on 16 November.

The 32-year-old fearless fighter has never stopped dreaming. Peacock brings a stellar 14-1 professional striking record and perfect 2-0 ONE record into this high-stakes matchup at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

"I want to keep testing myself and seeing just how good I can be and where I can go. I don't want to waste time either. I'm 32, and I don't feel like I've reached my prime yet," Peacock said.

"At this level, at the world level, you're talking about the top 20 in the world. It's all mental, because we can all punch, kick, knee, and elbow. We're all fit, we're all tough. It's about mentality at this stage."

His opponent, 30-year-old Thai veteran Suakim, brings experience from more than 150 fights and rides a five-fight winning streak into this bantamweight clash. The Thai striker boasts a 6-2 ONE record with four finishes, proving his finishing ability against elite competition.

The British-Canadian has studied his opponent extensively and acknowledges the challenge ahead. He recognizes that Suakim's warrior mentality makes him increasingly dangerous as fights progress.

"Suakim's got a lot of experience. He's extremely tough - as we saw in his last fight, he broke his orbital early on and still kept coming forward. The more you hurt him, the more he comes forward," Peacock said.

"He's very well rounded. He can fight in all areas. But as a whole, he's just an aggressive fighter with a lot of heart. I'm aggressive too, but I believe I'm more dynamic."
