Jeev becomes 'Golf in Dubai' brand ambassador
New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) Indian golfing ace Jeev Milkha Singh has teamed up with 'Golf in Dubai' as one of their newest brand ambassadors to showcase the emirate's stunning attractions on the global stage.
Jeev, the first Indian to break into the top-50 in the world rankings following his sublime performances around the globe last year, joins heavyweights like Ernie Els, Mark O'Meara, Colin Montgomerie, Henrik Stenson, Thomas Bjorn, Lee Westwood and Peter Cowen in an illustrious list of giD ambassadors driving the brand 'Dubai' forward.
Vice-chairman and CEO of 'Golf in Dubai' Mohamed Buamaim said, ''Winning these awards is a reflection of Jeev's dedication, fighting spirits and honesty in the sport.'' ''His contribution to Asian golf, no doubt, has been immense and he is also considered among the elite on the Japanese and European Tour,'' he added.
Jeev, presently ranked 57th in the world, said he is looking forward for a long association with 'Golf in Dubai'.
''I have always considered Dubai as my second home. Whenever I have played in the Dubai Desert Classic the reception from the galleries has always been overwhelming,'' he said.
''All I can say is a big thank you. I am privileged and honoured to be a global ambassador for golf in Dubai,'' Jeev said.
