By Staff

Miami, Florida, Mar 19 (UNI) Indian Masters champion Shiv Shankar Prasad Chowrasia and Ballantine's Championship runner-up Jeev Milkha Singh will lead the Indian charge at the World Golf Championships (WGC)- CA Championship to be played here from tomorrow.

The Indian duo qualified for the prestigious event due to their current ranking on the European Tour Order of Merit.

Jeev is currently sixth on the European Tour, while Chowrasia is ranked 12th.

Jeev, who was disappointed after losing to Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland in the playoff for the inaugural Ballantine's Championship last week, reckons his game is good enough to land a big title.

''I gave it a good effort. I would like to congratulate Graeme for playing excellent golf and I'm looking forward to Doral now because I'm playing well,'' Jeev said. ''So maybe, there's something better waiting for me there.'' Meanwhlie, Chowrasia is now all set to make his debut at the WGC-CA Championship. The professional from Kolkata is currently ranked 165 in the world besides being third on the Asian Tour Order of Merit.

The European Tour full card holder is aware that his recent success has ensured that he is considered a major contender every time he tees up.

''Now I know my game will be watched even more closely. But I will still not put pressure on myself,'' Chowrasia said.

Jeev and Chowrasia will be competing against the top names of international golf including superstars such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, Adam Scott, K J Choi and Sergio Garcia.
