Jeev determined to regain Order of Merit crown

Sentosa, Oct 31 (UNI) Ace Indian Pro Jeev Milkha Singh is determined to regain the Asian Tour's Order of Merit crown with some great showings in the big-money events in the region over coming weeks.

The seasoned Indian, Asia's number one in 2006, trails Mark Brown of New Zealand by a little over 150,000 dollar but the next three tournaments in Asia, offering a combined purse of 12.5 million dollar, are bound to change the merit list.

''I've won the Order of Merit title and I would love to win a second. It will come down to who does best in the HSBC, the Barclays and the UBS. There's huge prize money in those events and a win or a top finish in any of them would set you up for the merit title. It's going to be very interesting,'' Jeev said.

''Mark and I have a good contest going and I know just how determined he is to win the number one title just as I am to do the same,'' the Indian added.

The Asian Tour now heads to the 5 million dolllar HSBC Champions in Shanghai next week, followed by the 5 million dollar Barclays Singapore Open and 2.5 million dollar UBS Hong Kong Open.
