Bengaluru, August 1: As the inaugural TAKE Solutions Masters tees off at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course on Thursday (August 3), Jeev Milkha Singh is eyeing redemption.

Jeev is currently not in the best of form, having missed the cut nine times in the 13 events he competed this year.

With an Asian Tour event returning to the picturesque KGA course for the first time since 2012 Indian Open, Jeev hopes for a change of fortunes.

"It's just a matter of putting four rounds together and trusting myself. I'm going to keep trying and one week when it clicks, everything will fall in place," said Jeev.

The 45-year-old's last win came way back at the 2012 Scottish Open. Jeev believes it is a matter of time before he gets back to the winning mentality.

"After that win, I have suffered a lot of injuries. Every player has to go through bad times. It's all about trust and belief. If those two things are maintained under pressure, that's what is going to make you win tournaments," added Jeev.

Other main Indian challengers for the $300,000 prize-money tournament includes S S P Chawrasia, Shiv Kapur, Gaganjeet Bhullar and local boy Chikkarangappa.

Chawrasia, who is a six-time winner on the Asian Tour and is the last Indian to win at home (2017 Hero Indian Open) was excited at the prospect of playing at home again.

"Playing in India in front of the home fans is always a thrill and we know the courses here well. Also these days Indians are good enough to win anywhere in Asia and I think soon we'll see Indians win in Europe and US, too," said Chawrasia.

The field also includes Malaysia's Gavin Green, Thai duo of Rattanon Wannasrichan and Jazz Janewattananond and Australia's Todd Sinnott.
