Jeev finishes disappointing tied 47th in Spain

By Pti
Andalucia, Mar 19: A bogey hat-trick in the last three holes marred Jeev Milkha Singh's card as the Indian golfer returned a disappointing two-over 74 to sign off tied 47th in the Open de Andalucia Costa del Sol.

Jeev ended the week at three-under 285. Jeev was three under through first nine with birdies on third, fourth and sixth holes.

Meanwhile 31-year-old Frenchman Julien Quesne produced the round of his life with a 64 on the final day and grabbed the biggest prize of his life.

He won 166,660 euros as the winner's prize, way beyond the 22,464 euros he took home for finishing 17th at last month's Avantha Masters in India. Quesne graduated from last season's Challenge Tour.

His round of 64 matched the Aloha course record and took him to 17 under par and neither Matteo Manassero nor Eduardo De La Riva could catch him. He became the 400th different European Tour winner.

Manassero eventually signed for a 68 to finish second in 15-under and Eduardo De La Riva (70) was at 14-under for third.

England's David Lynn failed to build on a 30-foot eagle at the fifth as he finished fourth, one ahead of South African Hennie Otto and Quesne's compatriot Raphael Jacquelin.
