Jeev finishes tied 12th in BMW PGA championship
Surrey, May 28 (UNI) A bogey and double bogey in the back nine marred Jeev Milkha Singh's hopes of finishing in top 10 and a level par in the final round saw the Indian tied at 12th at the BMW PGA Championship here.
The 2006 Asian Tour's UBS Order of Merit winner Indian recovered in the front nine with birdies on third, fourth, eighth and ninth holes.
A bogey in the fifth hole was the only blemish in the front nine as Jeev finished the day on level par and tournament total of three under 285 in the European Tour's flagship event at Wentworth Club.
Denmark's Anders Hansen sank a tremendous 25-foot birdie putt in a sudden-death play-off against England's Justin Rose to win the title after both of them locked horns at eight under 280 aggregate.
Hansen pocketed euro 7,25,000 while Jeev is richer by a little over euro 63,000 for his effort.
Meanwhile, Jyoti Randhawa carded a final day six over and finished tied 60th with an aggregate of nine over 297 while the third Indian in the fray, Shiv Kapur had to be content with tied 67th after a forgettable nine over par final round and tournament total of 12 over 300.
