Jharkhand Govt. to Honour sportsperons of Doha and National Games

Ranchi, Mar 13 (UNI) The Jharkhand government will felicitate 196 sportspersons including veteran archer Jayanta Talukdar, athletes Chitra Somen and Sinimole Paulus tomorrow at a function being organised for their achievements in the Doha Asiad.

Director of sports department Rahul Sharma told UNI that the list would also include four members of national women hockey players- Pushpa Pradhan, Marita Tirkey, Asanta Lakra and Subhadra Kumari.

About Rs 58.6 lakh would be spent on the felicitation.

Many players will also felicitated on the occasion for their performances in the 33rd National Games held in Guwahati.
