Jharkhand announces archery team for National Games

Jamshedpur, Jan 25 (PTI) A 16-member Jharkhand men andwomen Archery team led by Jayant Talukdar for the forthcoming34th National Games was announced here today.

The selection of the state team was made based on theperformance of the archers during the two-day selection trialheld here recently, said L Murty, working secretary ofJharkhand Archery Association (JAA).

Murty said team comprised of four members for eachcategory of men and women''s recurve and compound event.

Following is the team: Men (recurve): Jayant Talukdar,Atanu Das, Mangal Singh Champia and Pawan Xalxo.

Women (Recurve): CWG gold medalist Deepika Kumari,Laxmirani Manjhi, Rimil Biruli and Seema Verma.

Men (Compound): Vimlender Pandey, Sudhakar Paswan, VivekKumar and Paltan Hansdah.

Women (Compound): Jhanu Hansdah, Bhegyavati Chanu,Manjudha Soy and Namita Yadav.
