Jimmy Butler has expressed that his relationship with the Miami Heat is currently stable as the trade deadline approaches. After serving a seven-game suspension for detrimental conduct, Butler returned to play but couldn't stop Miami from losing 133-113 to the Denver Nuggets. Despite scoring 18 points, he remains open to a trade, while the Heat are still searching for a suitable deal.

Butler, who shot 7-for-15 from the field and added three rebounds, two assists, and a turnover, commented on his situation. "I guess it's basketball at this point," Butler said. "I know what I'm expected to do while I'm here and try to do that to the best of my ability, but we are where we are." He emphasized that his issues are not with his teammates, stating they are friends and he enjoys playing alongside them.

The Miami Heat faced difficulties against the Denver Nuggets' strong offense. Nikola Jokic achieved his 17th triple-double of the season with 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Jamal Murray contributed 30 points, while Aaron Gordon added another 16 points to secure their victory over Miami.

Coach Erik Spoelstra chose not to delve into discussions about Butler's performance or future with the team. Instead, he focused on their defensive shortcomings. "From a defensive standpoint, it was not good enough," Spoelstra stated. He noted that their defense had been lacking in three consecutive games.
