Reflecting on his time with the Heat, Butler said, "I got a lot of love in the city for the fan base here. The video was nice. I won't say that there were a lot of emotions, though. I think I went into this thing level-headed."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr commented on the atmosphere during Butler's return. He noted that the arena environment did not influence their defeat. "I didn't know what was going on pregame because there was a video with no sound," Kerr explained when asked about the atmosphere for Butler's return.

Kerr further remarked on Miami's laid-back vibe, stating it wasn't an intense environment. He credited Miami coach Erik Spoelstra for preparing his team well against Golden State. "You shoot 17-for-25 from 3, you're going to win," Kerr acknowledged while praising Miami's competitive spirit.
