Srinagar, Jun 1 (UNI) Host Jammu and Kashmir trounced Delhi 4-0 to enter the quarter-finals of the 62nd National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy at the polo ground here today.

Stricker Ishfaq, drew first blood when he put the ball into the net in the 11th minute with a solo move to grab the lead for home team.

Later, Mohammad Asif consolidated the lead after punching in a long ranger from the top of the box in the 36th minute.

The J and K boys completely dominated the first half although Delhi also got a number of chances to level the scores.

In the 40th minute of the second half, Ishfaq again struck and scored a brilliant goal.

Mohit Verma made it 4-0 for the Jammu and Kashmir a minute later.

Punjab, Kerala, Maharashtra and Bengal, the four semi-finalist in the last edition of the Santosh trophy have been directly seeded into the quarter-finals this year.
