Srinagar, Jun 22 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir with 45 medals won the first North Zone (NZ) Taekwondo championship while Chandigrah got second place with 26 medals and Uttar Pradesh with 20 medals got third position.

Delhi could manage only seven medals and was placed fourth and Jarkhand bagged five medals in the three-day championship which concluded here today. The championship was organised by Jammu and Kashmir taekwondo Association (JKTA) in which more than 480 players, including 280 from different states, including Chandigrah, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jarkhand and hosts Jammu and Kashmir took part.

Sub-junior below 24 kg boys Dhruv Arora, UP, Aqib Jalal J&K and Sadeeb Delhi.

sub junior below 30 kg boys Varun Sharma- Chandigrah, Lubaib-J&K, Zubyan J&K.

Sub-junior above 30 kg boys Tibreen Bashir-J and K, Taufeeq Ahmad-J&K and Amanzin Chaidngrah.

Junior above 70 kg boys Asgar Hussain UP, Kabir Singh Chandigrah, and Suhail J&K.

Senior boys aobve 70 kg Muneer ahmad J&K, Pritam Soni Delhi and Anupam kinshuk Jarkhand.

Sub junior girls 40-44 kg Ashima Chouhan- Chandigrah, Rythem Cnaidigrah and Himani Sood Delhi.

Girls below 60 kg Farhana Farid-J&K, R Sharma UP, Insha Qadir J&K.

50 to 54 kg girls Shazia Yaseen J&K, Huddaya akhter J&K and Shikha Arora Haryana.

Mini 20 to 25 kg girls Tabeena-J&K, Priti Panthak-jarkhand and shristi Chawla UP.
