Dennis Schröder led Brooklyn with 28 points, helping them secure a 17-point lead in the second quarter. Cam Thomas scored 26, Cam Johnson had 20, and Nic Claxton added a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Despite this strong start, the Nets couldn't maintain their lead through overtime.

Nuggets Triumph Over Nets in Overtime

Jokić's performance included two triple-doubles in the first four games of the season. He has also scored at least 40 points twice without those being part of his triple-doubles. Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson is the only other player to have recorded at least 29 points, 18 rebounds, and 16 assists in one game.

The Nets were ahead by one point when Dorian Finney-Smith went to the free-throw line with just 24 seconds left in regulation. He made only one of two shots, allowing Jokić to tie the game with a basket inside with just under nine seconds remaining. Finney-Smith missed a potential game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer.

Kyrie Irving scored an impressive 35 points, including 16 in the third quarter, as Luka Dončić added a late surge to finish with 24 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-114 in their first rematch since last season's Western Conference finals.

Anthony Edwards set a Target Center record by scoring 24 of his total 37 points in the first quarter alone. He made seven out of thirteen attempts from beyond the arc. Dončić made a significant impact late in the game with a long three-pointer that extended Dallas' lead to eight points.

P.J. Washington contributed with 17 points and eight rebounds for Dallas, who played back-to-back games after defeating Utah at home on Monday. Julius Randle had a solid performance for Minnesota with 20 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists despite their turnover struggles.

Irving was efficient from beyond the arc, hitting six out of eight attempts including a crucial shot late in the game when Randle was closely guarding him.

Warriors Rally Against Pelicans

Buddy Hield scored a season-high of 28 points as Brandin Podziemski added another strong performance with 19 points to help Golden State Warriors rally from a deficit against New Orleans Pelicans for a victory of124-106. Zion Williamson led New Orleans with his season-best performance scoring31points along with eight rebounds.

Jonathan Kuminga came off Golden State's bench contributing17points after starting their initial three games but struggling offensively earlier this season. Lindy Waters III had his best game yet for Golden State scoring21points along with nine rebounds as they played without key starters Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins due to injuries.

Curry missed this match due to an ankle injury sustained during Sunday's loss against Clippers while Wiggins sat out alongside DeAnthony Melton because of lower back strains.

Hield returned strongly into starting lineup making seven three-pointers after struggling during previous home debut missing most attempts from beyond arc scoring just eight then.
