Jolly match referee for Deodhar Trophy
Chandigarh, Mar 2 (UNI) Former Haryana Ranji captain Rakesh Jolly has been appointed match referee for two Deodhar Trophy matches to be played in Mumbai on March 8 and 9.
Jolly, a Superintendent in Central Customs and posted in Amritsar, will act as match referee for the matches between Central Zone North and South Zones in Mumbai.
Jolly recently officiated as match referee in the One-Day Ranji Trophy matches. Jolly, who has played over 40 Ranji Trophy matches, is among the 35 cricketers, the BCCI has appointed as match referees for the major domestic cricket tournaments.
Jolly's maiden assignment as Match Referee was for the match between Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh in the Vinoo Mankad North Zone Under-19 Cricket Tournament held in New Delhi last year.
