ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Joseph Lasiri will have a point to prove when he returns to action in ONE Championship inside Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, this Friday, 22 December.
"The Hurricane" meets interim titleholder Prajanchai PK Saenchai to unify the divisional throne in the co-main event of ONE Friday Fights 46: Tawanchai vs. Superbon, and it's a rematch the world has been waiting for 18 months.

When the pair first met at ONE 157 in May 2022, Lasiri shocked fans when he claimed the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title by forcing Prajanchai to quit on his stool at the end of the third round of their brawl.
Following the event, rumors swirled that the Thai striking veteran had been unwell entering the contest, so Lasiri feels he has something to prove in their pivotal rematch this weekend.
"I want to show the people that the win wasn't lucky. I really want to confirm my World Title against a big name. Everyone knows Prajanchai. When he lost against me, many people were shocked, and I am ready to shock them again," he asserted.
Following a difficult stint in the flyweight Muay Thai division, Lasiri decided to move to strawweight. After beating Rocky Ogden and Asahi Shinagawa, the Italian was granted his World Title shot against Prajanchai, and he feels he was underestimated ahead of it.
That was a significant error, "The Hurricane" says, and the relaxed approach allowed him to take control. This time, though, the 32-year-old expects the best version of Prajanchai to show up as both combatants look to be crowned undisputed king.
"For me, he took the first fight very easily. That was the mistake, so everything came from that decision. Now he came back, he won three fights, he won them well, and I hope he will come at his best," Lasiri opined.
"I think this time, he will take it more seriously. He will wait for me to try to counter and not be aggressive. He will just want to check me out when we're in the ring, but I will not hold anything back.
"If you leave Prajanchai to work with his IQ in the Muay Thai style, you will never win. I will fight dirty. I will try to pressure him. I will make sure I'm in front of him every time to make it a physical fight and a dirty fight."
