Jaipur, Sep 4 (UNI) Three-time champion Joshna Chinappa had no difficulty in beating local star Surbhi Misra in three straight sets by 11-6, 11-9 and 11-4 to clinch the title of women's category of the Harish Chandra Golecha Memorial Rajasthan Open Squash Championship here today.
Earlier, Joshna had defeated Urvashi Singh by 11-7, 11-3, 11-1 in the first semi-final, while Surbhi triumphed Chandini Preet Soni in three straight game by 11-0, 11-1, 11-2 to enter the finals.
Joshna won the first set easily by 11-4, but in the second game, Surbhi struggled hard and gave some resistance to the top star of the country Joshna.
Surbhi, however, lost the second game also by 9-11. The third game saw Joshna did not give much chance to dominate Surbhi and won the game by 11-4 to seal the victory and title also.
Saumya Karki of Mumbai defeated Shreya Katri of Mumbai 11-6, 11-6, 11-2 to lift the under-15 girls title.
Ravi Dixit of Chennai beat Mahesh Mangaonkar of Mumbai by 8-11, 11-3, 11-5, 11-5 and lifted the boys under-17 category title.
Dixit lost the first game by 8-11, but thereafter he came back in the match and overcame easily in the next three game over his opponent. Kush Kumar of Chennai whipped Raghav Mehrotra of Mumbai in three straight game by 11-6, 11-9, 11-2 and won the title of boys under-13.
